Formark Engineering has a dedicated 5X Cad/Cam system with a range of multi-axis cutting strategies which can be applied to the most complex tooling or components. Cad/Cam management is used to support the plant in terms of computer aided design and manufacture, CNC programming and production engineering.
Data input or output is executable in a variety of commonly recognised forms allowing the cross examination of 2D CAD drawings (dwg, dxf) and 3D models (iges, Parasolid)
Fully integrated DNC connection to all machine tool controls allows downloading, drip feeding and back transmittal of data as required for conventional 2.5D machining or complex 3D form machining.
CNC programs are produced offline in order to maximise machine utilisation and reduce lead times within the confines of lean manufacturing.
